The term “céu” is not universally understood as the same. Even all of the state boards have no common definition of this term. Be aware of how you define a State Board CEU in advance of obtaining CE from an online provider. A second term used is “contact / clock hour”. This is the most widely accepted term to use when determining the appropriate credit terms for a particular course. Both terms will be explained more thoroughly.

So The bottom line is aware of how state government provides CEU and how the provider you want to define CEU and make sure they are both on the same page. If not, you can find yourself with less credit you thought. The term contact hour or clock hour is what most state boards to use, so make sure that the term is used on your certificate of completion of an online provider, you can use. Aspiration
